Pigs in the City
The pigs, each with a different theme, are painted and decorated to portray the title and business that they are representing. They can be found on Main Street, Center Street, West 1st Avenue and West 2nd Avenue in the Uptown Lexington Business District. Complimentary Hoofin' Maps, that identify each pig by it's title, location, sponsor, and artist, are available at most Uptown Lexington retailers, at the sponsors' locations, at many of the restaurants throughout the city, and at information locations, including the Uptown Lexington, Inc. office, 220 North Main Street; City Hall, 28 West Center Street; The Davidson County Historical Museum, 2 South Main Street; Arts United for Davidson County, 220 South Main Street; and the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Authority, 16 West Center Street. Merchandise including t-shirts and commemorative posters are available at Uptown Lexington's office and Lanier Hardware. Come to Uptown Lexington to enjoy the unique and whimsical creations of Pigs in the City 4. Be sure to carry a 2008 Hoofin Map with you. This map shows the locations of our humorous pigs.
